Flaming Arrow District Roundtable

November 20, 2025 |  7:00 pm

roundtableRoundtable is a district monthly meeting typically held the second Thursday of the month (except July) at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church (2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood 77339) at 7:00 pm to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. Roundtable is a form of supplemental training for volunteers. The objective of roundtable is to give leaders program ideas, information on upcoming events and trainings, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. As a result of the roundtable experience, unit leaders will be inspired, motivated, informed, and able to provide a stronger program for their Scouts. February 20-22, 2026

Webelos WoodsThis is a weekend campout designed to introduce Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts to the many outdoor adventures of Scouting. 

Learn more about the transition to Scouts BSA and information to help assist Arrow of Light Scouts as they make the important decision on which troop to join and questions to ask troops.

Winter Camp

December 26-31, 2025

Winter camp is a wonderful opportunity for troops and individual Scouts to camp and earn merit badges and participate in fun evening programs and activities. There are over 80 merit badge classes taught by Scouters with real-life experiences in the field.

Full Throttle

December 5-7, 2025

Full Throttle is a weekend event for troops. Scouts spend a half-day participating in program areas such as shooting sports, climbing, swimming, ziplining, and boating, and a half-day working on a merit badge.

Key Leader Conference

January 10, 2026

Key Leader's Conference is an annual meeting and orientation for all district committee members and commissioners. The training covers the basics of district operations and the district's role in supporting units and delivering the Scouting program. Participants will then have an opportunity to meet and interact with other district leaders during the committee breakout sessions.

University of Scouting

January 17, 2026

University of Scouting is a semi-annual supplemental training program. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers who will help leaders and parents enhance their ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the Scouts.

Full Throttle

February 6-8, 2026

Full Throttle is a weekend event for Scouts in troops, crews, ships, and individual Scouts. Scouts participate in a program area such as range and target activities and climbing, participate in the first aid meet, and spend a half-day working on a merit badge.

The council First Aid Meet is being held during Full Throttle. This event challenges Scouts to perform first aid in simulated real-life situations. Teams compete in practical first-aid problems, demonstrating hands-on skills.

First Aid Training

 

The Scout Oath instills in youth that, “On my honor I will do my best … to help other people at all times.” Emergency care is no exception. CPR/AED, first aid, and wilderness first aid trainings are offered to help Scouting America volunteers and staff members teach Scouts how to provide life-saving care in the event of an emergency.
